Floyd Mayweather Ready To Come Back & Fight Victor Ortiz + Speaks On Legal Issues!

"getting closer to my mother"...THAT'S A CROCK OF SHIT! Everybody knows he no longer fights because he is avoiding Pacquiao.

For the fact that Mayweather will not accept the fight, I agree with the lawsuit. Defamation of character SHOULD be in place considering Mayweather won't fight him and makes claims that he uses steroids.

Mayweather can just FIGHT HIM, say it was used as a promotional tool for the fight.

REGARDLESS, Mayweather is a punk as BIOTCH!!!

Planking Craze

Ok so my question is, will "planking" actually catch on?

I mean it is easy for anyone to do it although, is it just me or does most of it look retarded.

I mean think about it, what if the world ended RIGHT NOW, and for some weird coincidence, the only material the remains for the next civilization to find are these planking photos...

What would they think about our society?

It's funny but, if this catches on, it will show how this world is getting stupider by the decade.

It's kinda scary.

Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS 'several years' away, Sakurai says

Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS 'several years' away, Sakurai says: "

When Nintendo announced that Smash Bros. was en route to its Wii U and 3DS systems, longtime fans of the fighting series may have, in elation, momentarily forgotten how much time elapses during the announcement and launch. As creative lead Masahiro Sakurai explains in his weekly Famitsu column (translated by 1UP), the next game is 'several years' away from completion.

'It makes me cringe,' he laments, referring to the two game projects being added to his plate. 'And I'm not sure it's the smartest thing to make gamers wait for several years, but the early announcement was made chiefly in order to attract new team members.' Apparently all of his studio's resources are currently being poured into Kid Icarus: Uprising for the 3DS. 'We've got no plans whatsoever -- we've got two new games out there in the open when there's no extra time to work with them at all.'

At least with these games, Sakurai knew ahead of time. With the Wii's Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Nintendo head Satoru Iwata announced the game before Sakurai even knew it was a project he would be working on. 'With previous projects I had a game design document in place before forming a team, but with this I don't have the time for that. I won't be able to look at every aspect of the game and balance out all the characters by myself this time,' he writes.

Before the Wii U announcement Sakurai's studio, Project Sora, 'had intended to make a 3DS Smash Bros.,' but doubled up after seeing the Wii U. 'If we went solely for the Wii U, the HD graphics would really bump up the visual effects, but then we'd be stuck in another arms race. If we made this game another extension over the previous one, we'd have to cut out the new things we could possibly do on the 3DS hardware and compete with ourselves again over the size of the character roster and the amount of gameplay we can put in it.'

If your heart stops every time Iwata takes the stage at a press conference, just imagine how Mr. Sakurai reacts.

Archos intros 80 GB and 101 G9 Android 3.1 tablets: 1.5GHz CPU, 250GB HDD, 3G-ready

Archos intros 80 GB and 101 G9 Android 3.1 tablets: 1.5GHz CPU, 250GB HDD, 3G-ready: "

Angling for a new Android 3.1 tablet, are ya? If so, Archos has a new pair emerging from Paris today, the 80 G9 and 101 G9. Predictably, the biggest differentiator between the two is the screen size, with the former offering an 8-inch panel with a 1024 x 768 screen resolution and the latter stepping up to a 10.1-incher (1280 x 800). Both of 'em are proudly using Seagate's 7mm Momentus Thin in order to scale to 250GB, but of course, only time will tell how a power-hungry HDD will do in tablet form factor.

Under the hood, you'll find a dual-core OMAP 4 processor (1.5GHz ARM Cortex A9), support for Flash, access to the Android Market and a full-size USB port -- one that's good for accepting the outfit's new G9 3G WWAN stick ($49). You'll also get an HDMI output, support for 1080p playback and a pay-as-you-go option with the aforesaid 3G dongle. The duo is scheduled to go on sale at the end of September (you know, just a month or two before Ice Cream Sandwich makes Honeycomb look like old hat), with the 80 G9 going for $279 and the 101 G9 for $349. Don't ever say Archos' accountants didn't look out for you.

Games at Google revealed in job posting, takes a stab at social gaming

Games at Google revealed in job posting, takes a stab at social gaming: "

Games at Google

Well, one of the few remaining sectors that Google has yet to conquer, gaming, will be Big G free no longer. The tech giant is looking for a product manager to man a new property called Games at Google. Obviously, with just a job posting to work with, details are scant, but we can tell you that the gaming platform will boast some social features -- an area where the Goog has struggled mightily. What don't we know? Just about anything else. Will it be a Game Center-like feature for Android phones? Or, perhaps, a web-gaming outlet for Chrome built with help from the folks at Zynga, who Google quietly partnered with back in the summer of oh-ten. Regardless, we're waiting with bated breath to find out when and where we'll be able to order hits in Mafia Wars next.

Sega Pass hack exposed 1.3 million accounts, LulzSec denies responsibility

Sega Pass hack exposed 1.3 million accounts, LulzSec denies responsibility: "

The Sega Pass hack has been upgraded from 'temporary loss of some service to which we weren't really paying attention,' all the way to 'reasonably serious business.' In a statement to Reuters, Sega revealed the scope of the data breach: over 1.3 million user accounts, including dates of birth and passwords. The publisher made it clear when it initially announced the breach that payment information wasn't at risk.

'We are deeply sorry for causing trouble to our customers,' Sega spokesperson Yoko Nagasawa said in today's statement. 'We want to work on strengthening security.'

This time, hacker collective LulzSec isn't claiming responsibility, instead sending out a tweet offering to help Sega find the actual culprit. 'We love the Dreamcast,' they said. 'These people are going down.

Wii U has last-gen Radeon inside, still more advanced than PS3 and Xbox 360

Wii U has last-gen Radeon inside, still more advanced than PS3 and Xbox 360: "

Wii U Crysis

Slowly, but surely, we're starting to piece together what's going on inside that mysterious white box known as the Wii U. IBM was a little coy about the multi-core CPU it was providing, but did tantalize us by mentioning the name 'Watson' in describing some of its underlying tech. Now details about the custom Radeon GPU are starting to surface and, while certainly capable, it's not exactly cutting edge. At its heart is a chip similar to the R770 found in AMD's last-gen cards like the 4890 and, before you dismiss the it, remember the PS3 and Xbox 360 are still capable of pumping out impressive visuals while packing five-year-old silicon (The 360 is essentially running a souped up ATI X1900). The custom core also supports Direct X 10.1 (Microsoft runs out of steam with Direct X 9) and Eyefinity-like multi-display tech for up to four SD video streams -- though it'll be up to Nintendo and developers to put that to good use. In case you're still not convinced of the Wii U's graphical prowess, Crytek has said its advanced CryEngine is 'pretty much' up and running on Nintendo's upcoming console -- and, if it's good enough for Crysis, it should be good enough for you.

Epic and Nintendo Hacked, Bethesda Targeted

Mommy, hackers keep trying to prey on my information. WHY??? MAKE THEM STOP???!!!??? LOL

Epic and Nintendo Hacked, Bethesda Targeted: "

Over the weekend several stories surfaced about multiple companies being hacked, with the promise of another company becoming a new target of the hacking group Lulsec.

On Friday Epic Games admitted that it had to take down several of its web sites and forums after hackers circumvented the company's security. Epic Games co-founder Tim Sweeney informed customers of the news via the company forums, explaining why the company's web site and forum suddenly went off the grid:

"Our Epic Games web sites and forums were recently hacked. After some downtime, they're back up and running now," Epic founder Tim Sweeney wrote.

"The hackers may have obtained the email addresses and encrypted passwords of forum users. Plaintext passwords weren't revealed, but it's possible that those passwords could be obtained by a brute-force attack on the encrypted passwords." Read More

'Madden NFL 12' Preview - E3 2011

'Madden NFL 12' Preview - E3 2011: "

Madden NFL 12

Despite the increasingly worrying chances that there may be a shortened or non-existent football season this year, EA Sports is, of course, still plowing ahead with a new 'Madden' game. For those of you who don't purchase each annual installment on blind faith and/or a desire for updated rosters, you should know that there are some gameplay additions to 'Madden NFL 12.' The biggest one by far is something called Dynamic Player Performance.

If you're thinking Dynamic Player Performance sounds like marketing jargon, you're completely right, but it does actually have an impact on the game. Here's the idea: Let's say you're playing as Eli Manning and you start the game with a passing accuracy of 80. In previous 'Madden' games, you could be sacked 10 times in the first quarter and that accuracy rating would never change, unless Manning was injured.

With DPP, the events of the game can actually cause a player's performance to change. So those 10 sacks against Manning in the first quarter might actually give him worse pocket presence and cause him to throw the ball away more. Thankfully it's not just a negative reaction. If your player makes, say, a 30-yard pass for a touchdown, their ratings might actually increase because their confidence is boosted from the play.

A key component of this is which player you're talking about. Certain players, like Jay Cutler, are known for being hot-headed and streaky, having an amazing game one week and a terrible game the next. These players will be more affected by DPP because they play the game more emotionally. On the flip side, a player like Drew Brees is much more consistent, so a few sacks isn't going to affect his passer rating too much.

The idea is to make the players in 'Madden NFL 12' feel more like their real-world counterparts, instead of just mindless, stat-driven robots. They're still mindless stat-driven robots, but those stats can now change based on what's going on in the game, which is rather interesting. Whether it's enough to make up for the lack of real life football...that's a tougher question.

First Samsung Chromebooks Debut On… Gilt?: "

This is kind of a strange match. Samsung’s new Chromebook has hit Gilt two weeks early, according to an email sent to members of the luxury shopping site. No pricing was mentioned, but buying also gets you a special laptop sleeve from Rickshaw.

The rest of us mortals can’t get one until June 15th, when they become available on Amazon and Best Buy. Even the lucky stiffs who were gifted one at I/O haven’t received them yet.

Well, no biggie. It’s going to be a beta product at launch anyway, it’s probably better to wait a couple months for the bugs to get ironed out.

Update: They’re the 3G versions, being sold for $500, and the case is “whack.” [thanks, Aaron!]

Google +1 Button Now Accompanying Your Android Market (Web) Listings

Google +1 Button Now Accompanying Your Android Market (Web) Listings: "

This image has no alt text

Google +1 is a concept I wasn’t really too jazzed about when I first heard about it, but many of you like it and use it daily. If you were fans of it on search than you’ll be happy to know that the +1 button is now available in the web-based Android market. You’ll be seeing it in the first row of the information sidebar in individual market listings.

When you “+1″ something, you are making a recommendation to the folks in your friends list. With Google Search, searching for a chicken pot pie recipe would bring up a specific recipe your friend +1′d, letting you see which recipe they think is the best.

Similarly, for Market, you make an app recommendation for your friends whenever you +1 it. Your friend that pointed out that chicken pot pie recipe could +1 a recipe app that they like, and you’ll see that if you go searching for recipes or recipe apps in Google Search.

Considering a lot of my friends aren’t as into Google as I am, I’m not that into this feature. But if you have a lot of friends who enjoy sharing things with each other daily, and if they have an Android phone, you’ll want to get them up to speed on +1. Click here or watch the video below to learn more about how +1 works.

Oh, and be a doll and +1 one our site on Google and our application in the Android market, will ya? Your friends will thank you for it.

Microsoft: 40 Percent of Xbox Live Activity is Non-Gaming: "

According to Microsoft's corporate communications Vice President Frank Shaw, 40 percent of all Xbox Live activity is non-gaming. Discussing the evolution of the platform as an entertainment brand rather than a pure gaming console - a theme that will be emphasized through the company’s E3 press event later this month - Shaw mentioned how much Xbox Live users are using the system for non-gaming entertainment such as music and movies.

He says that Microsoft MS intends to market Xbox 360 more "as an entertainment brand this year." Microsoft claims that it is seeing 30 hours of video consumption per month per system. Read More

Carmageddon: Reincarnation coming next year as a downloadable game: "

Fans of virtual vehicular violence, and of puns with the word 'car' in them, will be delighted to know that the rumor of the Carmageddon series' return is absolutely true. Last week, the story surfaced that the rights to the series had been purchased from Square Enix, with the next entry planned for a pre-E3 reveal.

Stainless Games, developers of the first two Carmageddon games, are now in charge of the franchise, and are working on a new downloadable game for release next year. The title, Carmageddon: Reincarnation, shows Stainless's commitment to the word 'car,' if nothing else. Platforms weren't named, but the official Carmageddon site calls it 'multiplatform motoring mayhem.'

'All the laughs, the crazy power-ups, and extreme destruction will return,' said Stainless Executive Director Neil Barnden. 'We will make sure the existing fans get what they want and expect from a Carmageddon game, and a new generation discovers the delights of sliding into a Cunning Stunt.'

Gemini's FirstMix USB DJ controller now available for novice mixers

Gemini's FirstMix USB DJ controller now available for novice mixers: "

Seasoned DJs have plenty of ways to hone their electronica acumen, but for less experienced audiophiles, Gemini has just unleashed FirstMix -- a USB-based controller designed to help the everyman get in touch with his inner Pete Tong. The device's layout is simple enough, with two scratch wheels, rotaries and a cross fader. All you have to do is connect the panel to your laptop, select the tunes you'd like to mash up from your iTunes library and use FirstMix's touch-sensitive jog control to scratch the night away. To help you get started, Gemini will ship its new controller with MixVibes' Cross LE DJ software, but it's compatible with Virtual DJ and other mixing programs, as well. If you're interested in taking FirstMix for a spin, you can find one at retailers like Musician's Friend, for about $100. Otherwise, you could just head past the break for a demo video, along with a full press release.
